New Customer Help Information

Welcome to your new account on the GMX Worldwide Xpress platform when you are ready. Since you have received your username and login, you are almost ready to go.

 

A few things before you start:

    • Have a printer nearby where you will be able to print your labels. You can use regular paper and tape if you do not ship a lot. We recommend that you consider buying a label printer if you ship often.
    • Have all the ship-to information handy, including the receiver’s email. The email can be used to ensure that the platform sends the receiver the tracking information when you ship.
    • See our extensive FAQ section on our website if you have a moment. There is a lot of information that can be helpful.
    • When filling out the forms, it is suggested to use a desktop or a laptop. Shipping on mobile and tablet is currently unavailable due to smaller screen sizes.
    • It is suggested that a copy of the waybill or some documentation such as an invoice or identification/letter/address information is placed in the box before you close the package. This could/would help identify the receiver and the shipper in case the label comes off during shipping and handling.

Need a basic idea of the shipping cost? You do not have to fill out everything.

  • City
  • Postal Code
  • Province / State

Fill out all the information and keep in mind the following tips:

  • Double check the address – you can use a search engine like Google etc. to check. It helps avoid costly address changes etc.
  • Accents and special characters are not accepted by most carriers
    – Please do NOT use them – It will create errors.
  •  Accents and characters like É, È,Î, Ê, Â, Ô, Á, Ñ, Ü, ¿!”/$%?&*()  should not be used in any of the forms since they are not accepted by the carriers at this time.

  • Leave ”SERVICE TYPE” on “ALL SERVICES”. This will allow you to get a quotation from all the carriers in your account. Then you can choose what is best.
  • Select a package type before you move on.
  • Change the Unit measurement to KG/CM here or leave the default
  • Change ship date if needed – for some ground services you may need to
  • Choose your insurance in CAD or what is needed. Keep in mind that this is the REPLACEMENT or PURCHASE, not the selling or sold value.

  • Use these options if you require any added services from the carriers.

Note: This only appears when you are shipping outside of Canada.

  • Terms Of Sale: Would you like to pay the duties and taxes (DDP) or leave them UNPAID (DDU) – if unpaid then the receiver will pay the taxes if there are any to be paid.
  • Export Compliance: Select the appropriate option for your shipment.

Select one of the following:

      • “NDR1: United States” if the shipment is going to the USA.
      • “NDR2: Less Than $2,000 CAD’‘ if the shipment is going internationally and is under $2,000 CAD.
      • ”NO EEI 30.37(f)” if the shipment is going from the USA to Canada.
  • Please fill out ALL the Description / Country of Manufacture / Weight per unit / QTY / Unit Price.
  • HS No. is not mandatory at this time although it should speed up the customs process.

Click on the “Quote” Button

This will lead to the quotations from carriers that are in your account. (Carriers can be added as needed).

Choose the carrier that works for you and press “Close”.

Fill out the needed information

This will create a pickup request for your package.

If you do not make a request nere you can do it later if you have several packages to ship.

You will find the “Schedule a pickup” in the Services section of the platform.

Please note that all Ground shipment pickups with FedEx and UPS can only be scheduled for the next business day.

Conclusion

Our new customer help section is for new and existing customers who may ship across Canada and worldwide. We do love our beautiful country and we are here to help all our wonderful customers ship from sea to sea and beyond.

Shipping packages involve so many people along the way. While we give you some tools to help you ship, we also give you advice and help when you need it.

We have a dedicated staff with a lot of experience, and we are happy to help. Please keep in mind that we are here to help and we are not the carrier. We deal with the carriers on your behalf and we are on your side every step of the way.

We urge you to always double-check your ship to address to avoid misdirection of packages and to check your tracking on our site or on the carrier’s site regularly.

Shipments overseas can be delayed in customs and in some cases, for important shipments, some carriers are generally a bit more efficient. Whatever happens, we will be happy to help with follow-up and tracing if there are unusually long delays.
